Half Truth #4: God said. I believe it. That settles it.
Flip the script: With faithful interpretation, God speaks through the words of Scripture to teach, guide, shape, and encourage us.
Scripture is the primary source of the revelation of God, but Scripture is always interpreted with an understanding of who wrote it, when, and why. No one takes every word of Scripture literally, but we seek to understand the truth of Scripture as it forms our understanding of who God is and what God wills for us. In our faith formation, we may end up with more questions as we learn and grown in faith.
