Stop. Take a moment. Breathe deeply. We have arrived – again – at the beginning of a journey. That is the strange thing about this season. Advent sits us down in the liminal space of God’s already-and-not-yet Kingdom and asks us to wait. Perhaps this is the role of Advent – to teach us to pay attention and figure out what is ours to do as we faithfully wait for the birth of the Christ child and the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom.
Pastor Mary’s message is based on Isaiah 2: 1-5, Matthew 24: 36-44, and waiting with hope.
