Jesus meets a man from whom everyone else want to run away. Forces haunting this man, whatever their exact nature, brought him no good. He was alone and without community. Jesus cares and heals – and restores him to community. No wonder the man wanted to stay with Jesus! Any kind of healing, any good thing God gives us, is never just for our sake. How will we engage in Jesus’ ministry and “go and tell”?
