This is the second week in our series on the Beatitudes. Our focus verse is: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” With life and love comes pain and grief. If we seek to avoid vulnerability and the risk needed for deeper relationships, we miss out on the blessing of community. The Holy Spirit reminds us of the promise of comfort. Pastor Mary’s message is also based on John 14: 15-21 (Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit) and Romans 8: 26-27.
