Welcoming All, Empowered by Christ, Sent Forth to Serve

Dec. 17, 2023: “Being Present with Love”

The faith narrative is careful to show us a lineage from King David to Jesus. It is no ordinary lineage, it is one that began in the shepherding of sheep, of leading and delivering the people in search of a home. Mary’s womb becomes part of that lineage of love, offering the world the gift of God’s presence “in the flesh.” As we enter the story of the birth of Jesus, who is Love Among Us, we are invited to be present in love with those that need it most.

This is the fourth week in our Advent/Christmas series, “The Gift of Being Present.” Worship opened with this video, “Advent Love – Skit Guys” Pastor Mary’s message is based on II Samuel 7: 1-11, 16; Psalm 89: 1-4, 19-26; and Luke 1: 26-38.

The 9:00 and 11:00 am worship services are available in their entirety on YouTube.
