From the beginning, we’re called into relationship – with God and each other. Baptism calls us into deeper community with others who seek to follow Jesus and whose hope is in him. In a time when the nature of community is changing, when we connect in many different ways, reaching out to one another is vital as a part of our call to be disciples.
This is the first week in our Faith in Film 2023 series. Movies Are Prayers: How Films Voice Our Deepest Longings by Josh Larsen helps us see the connection between faith and culture. Pastor Mary’s message is based on I Thessalonians 5: 8-24 and the film, “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.”
