We need the basics to survive, like food, clean water, air, sleep, shelter, and security. The need for love and belonging follows close behind. How does a community of faith provide that need, and how can we offer it to others in the name of Jesus?
This is the second week in our series, “Belonging: Finding Your Heart’s Home.” Worship opened with “You Belong Here.” The service is based on I Peter 2: 1-10 and Ephesians 2: 19-22. Several members shared stories of what it means to belong and to believe. We also shared a video about belonging to the United Methodist Church.
