Welcoming All, Empowered by Christ, Sent Forth to Serve

September 26, 2021 message: “Faith”

We describe our families in many ways: happy, loving, supportive, strange, modern, dysfunctional, and broken. Everyone is part of a family though it might not be the traditional model – a mom, dad, and two kids all of whom are related and happily living together under the same roof – and that’s okay. Whatever our family looks like, God has a plan for making it stronger. This includes the “family” as a metaphor for the congregation and community of faith. How do we build a strong family of God, especially in the midst of so much change?

This is the first week in the series, “Building a Strong FAMILY of God.” We often talk about having a faith foundation, and faith matters as we celebrate and weather tough times. We also learn to rely on the faith of our spiritual friends to support us. “Great in the Small” reminds us that God does amazing things in the smallest of moments.
