This series is based on a book called It’s Not What You Think: Why Christianity Is about So Much More than Going to Heaven When You Die by Jefferson Bethke. He challenges the church to think about what we believe and why. Our call is to nurture a relationship with Jesus that shows through what we say and do – not to follow rules and go through the motions. What does authentic faith look like today?

It’s also worth learning more about the author. Bethke rocked many people’s views of the church when he unleashed his 2012 slam poetry video, “Why I Hate Religion, but Love Jesus.” It had been viewed over 16 million times in the first two weeks of release and generated 64,000 comments. Find out why:
