When we look at the suffering of the world and of the people God loves, we can share in the hope that God would tear open the heavens and come down. With recent news of ISIS, Ebola, and personal stuff that keeps us up at night, we can relate to Isaiah’s prayer. We are also challenged to allow God to be the Potter – to re-make us into God’s image – and to push us toward building the Kingdom here and now.
