Moses gets to see the Promised Land on the horizon, but doesn’t get to enter it. His time as leader has been important, but settling here will require a new leader. Joshua and Moses have history together, and Joshua’s trust in God’s promises is one key leadership trait. Our congregation has experienced much change, and yet God is faithful to God’s promises. What do we see when we look around us? How do we honor leaders who have come before us and open ourselves to those who will come after us?
