Welcoming All, Empowered by Christ, Sent Forth to Serve

Mystery Guest Report

The Mystery Guest Program helps church leaders better understand what a first-time guest thinks and feels when attending a church service. A person who returns is usually willing to tell you why they returned. Visitors who do not return deny church leaders the opportunity to learn why they didn’t come back and if by chance they are asked, they might not be as forthcoming with the answer for fear of offending. This program was an essential part of the VCI process as it gave us honest answers as to why someone would or (would not) come back to your church. The results will help us craft a better experience for future guests resulting in growth and retention.  To read the report, click here.

To learn more about how the study was conducted click here.  This report also shows how different sized churches tend to have different strengths.

We invite you to read the report before the final Town Hall Meeting, which is on Sunday, March 2 at 3:00 pm.  We vote on the prescriptions on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 10:45 am.  Note that this is 30 minutes later than previously announced.
