We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles’ Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs.

This week’s focus: I believe in God, The Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Is there a God? How do we know? If God exists, what is God like? Scripture is where we start, but church tradition, human reason, and our experience help us to understand who God is and what God is like. Pastor Mary’s message is based on Genesis 1: 1-2, 31; Exodus 3: 11-15; and Deuteronomy 6: 4-5.
