How does diversity help us understand God more fully? It’s not about being color blind; rather, it’s about all colors being valued as a part of the family of God.
This is the third week in the series, “The Faith of a Mockingbird.” Pastor Mary’s message is based on Harper’s Lee’s book, To Kill a Mockingbird, the 1962 movie of the same title, Galatians 3: 26-29, and Colossians 1: 15-24. To read it, click here.
We’ll use a short clip from the 1962 movie, To Kill a Mockingbird. We have to show a “be right back” slide in the live stream as it plays. Here are links to the clip we’ll show and two others that tells us more about Tom Robinson:
- Tom Robinson testifies.
- Atticus points out the obvious inequalities in the justice system and asks the jury to look at Tom’s case with a fair and just eye.
- In his closing statement for the defense, Atticus, tries to convince the jury to believe Tom Robinson.
The 9:00 am and 11:00 am worship services are available in their entirety on YouTube.
