Welcoming All, Empowered by Christ, Sent Forth to Serve

November 18, 2018 message: “Grief and Thanksgiving”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” It is hard to do so when we are grieving the loss of a loved one, a job, health, or life just hasn’t turned out the way we had hoped. God will rescue us, but how do we “Hold On” when things are going the way we had planned?

The Early Service opened with Ken Luckett’s “Grief in Brief: The Smell of Old Spice.” Guest Pastor Diane Gordon’s message is based on 1 Thessalonians 5: 12-24. To read it, click here.
