Jesus’ disciples were dumbfounded when Jesus told them that the vast crowd that had gathered to hear him speak also needed to be fed. A young boy was willing to share the little he had. Why did they have such a hard time believing that God would provide?
Today’s message is based on Mark 10: 13-16 (Jesus and the Little Children) and John 6: 1-14 (Bread and Fish for All). Guest author Glenys Nellist shared “The Super-Duper Picnic,” the same story told for children. Click here to see what Glenys shared about this service on her blog. “A Boy with No Lunch” is a contemporary example unexpected act of generosity.
Children shared what they had done and learned this year. The pictures below tell some of their stories.
